I’ve been managing a Fortigate 60F firewall for one of our branch offices, and while the hardware itself was reasonably priced, the ongoing subscription costs are starting to add up. When you include advanced threat protection, intrusion prevention, and web filtering, the total Fortigate 60F Price isn’t quite as low as it first appeared.
That being said, the performance has been excellent. It handles traffic for about 100 users without issue, even with multiple features enabled. So in one sense, the Fortigate 60F Price has been justified by its reliability and ease of management. Still, I’m wondering if there are smarter ways to structure licensing to reduce costs over time.
For those running the Fortigate 60F, how do you manage subscription renewals? Do you bundle longer-term deals to lock in a better Fortigate 60F Price, or do you pay year to year? Have you ever dropped certain services to save money, or is it better to keep the full security suite active?
