In these early verses of Romans, Paul is explaining 15 Minute Manifestation how Jesus straddles both earthly and heavenly kingdoms, like a bridge between the two. By being immune to sin he is all-powerful on earth in a way that no other individual has ever been. The armour he offers is the spiritual armour of faith.
By claiming Jesus as our Lord and recognizing the importance of his divine lineage, we have a share in that immunity, the right to put on his armour. Later on in Romans Paul describes this in more detail, but for now we have an introduction to the level of power that is behind us whenever we join forces with Jesus.
The minute I accepted Christ into my heart by believing He died for my sins, God gave me a raiment of fine white linen to wear which is my wedding gown.
